Senior Project Engineers
(Mechanical,Electrical/Instrument)
(Sarawak - MIRI)

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate multidiscipline engineering activities to ensure projects allocated from a brownfields project portfolio are executed in a safe, efficient, cost effective and timely manner.
  • Act as primary coordination interface with the client to ensure that the client’s expectations are satisfied.
  • Ensure the project conforms to the client’s approved Basis of Design and all applicable regulatory and code requirements.
  • HSE Management
  • Maintains HSE focus within the team to ensure HSE requirements included in design and procurement.
  • Client Relationships
  • Maintains and builds healthy client and internal relationships.
  • Proactively resolves performance, scope and schedule issues with the client as they arise.
  • Identifies, documents, communicates and meets the client’s requirements
  • Commercial Management
  • Effectively manages assigned budgets within WorleyParsons’ total scope.
  • Scope Management
  • Compliance with WorleyParsons Project delivery Process (WPMP) and client’s project delivery roadmap.
  • Compliance with requirements of the contract.
  • Proactive and effective change control process application and monitoring.

  • Contributes to the development of overall project schedule.
  • Supervises work in accordance with the approved schedule
  • Cost Control
  • Monitors cost aspects of the project within direct control to forecast final costs, identifies trends and takes action to avoid cost overruns.

  • Contributes to compliance with WorleyParsons policies and procedures.
  • Compliance with WorleyParsons engineering and procurement systems and procedures.
  • Team Management
  • Focuses engineering team on achievement of milestones and other key project objectives.
  • Listens to the team, discusses the issues, resolves problems and directs activities to remove roadblocks and achieve objectives.
  • Communications Management
  • Regularly provides clear reports to all stakeholders.
  • Effective communication with the design team and any third parties.
  • Regular interface with other team members including Procurement, Execution and Controls.
  • Regular mentoring and coaching of less experienced personnel.
  • Accurate, timely and effective reporting to the Design Project Manager.
  • Risk Management
  • Monitors the closure of all identified risks and opportunities.
  • Design Management
  • Sets clear objectives to the engineering design team, including achieving productivity and budget targets.
  • Ensures design team aware of, and complies with, applicable regulations and codes.
  • Manages inter-discipline interfaces effectively.
  • Procurement/Subcontracts Management
  • Interfaces with Procurement personnel and processes throughout the project to ensure goods and services meet specification, are delivered on time and are within budget.
Requirements:


  • Applicants must possess a recognized Degree in any of the above disciplines with a minimum of 10 years experiences in the multi-discipline design and construction environment of the oil and gas industry and offshore projects.
  • Applicants shall have a sound background in one of the major engineering disciplines and must have a demonstrated ability to coordinate multi-discipline engineering tasks, either in the design or construction phase of a project.
  • Applicants shall have a full understanding of project management principle, e.g. planning, monitoring, reporting and control of cost, time and resources and shall be able to prepare detailed plans for particular tasks under his / her control.
  • The applicants shall manage and coordinate multidiscipline engineering activities to ensure projects are executed in a safe, efficient, cost effective and timely manner.

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities and requirements for this role are as follow:

 

  • Support and work as part of a Project Team for a diverse range of environmental consulting projects, including ESHIA in the oil and gas, industrial, infrastructure and power sectors. Work experience in any of these sectors would be considered favourably
  • Conduct environmental monitoring and auditing projects independently   

Requirements:
    • Tertiary qualifications in environmental science or engineering or a related field
    • Posses at least 3 years relevant experience
    • Regulatory EIA experience will be considered favourably
    • Background in soil & geology, air quality, noise & vibration will be considered favourably
    • Willingness to travel and work across a broad range of environmental and social consulting services

Responsibilities:

The environmental team based in Kuala Lumpur has a diverse range of clients and the team work on projects that are diverse and challenging. The team is now seeking Lead Environmental Consultant to support the expanding business. The responsibilities and requirements for this role are as follow:

 


  • Setting and implementing direction for environmental consulting projects for international oil and gas clients, including ESHIA, environmental audits and due diligence
  • Support environmental consulting services to the industrial, infrastructure and power sectors
  • Provision of environmental engineering inputs/ advices
  • Working across WorleyParsons business units/ geographic locations to develop environmental business opportunities
  • Mentoring and coaching junior members of WorleyParsons’ environmental team

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications
  • At least 7-10 years experience in environmental consultancyStrong ESHIA project experience in the oil and gas sector, marine sector is preferable
  • Experience in oil spill modelling, produced water modelling etc would be an added advantage
  • Environmental project management skills
  • Excellent report writing skills. Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential

Project Control Engineer
(Kuala Lumpur)
Responsibilities:
  • Project set-up (working with project management, system administration and document controls to develop a project set-up that facilitates both internal and external Project Services requirements.)
  • Planning / Scheduling (Provide Project Planning / Scheduling services to project teams to ensure that completion dates are being met).
  • Cost Management / control (Provide cost control services to project teams to ensure proper project cost management and profitability monitoring).
  • Invoice Advice Reports (Verify & Approve Invoice Advice Reports before issuance to Finance).
  • Project analysis and Forecasting (Analysis of project schedule and costing trends).
  • Proposal support (Provide Planning/Scheduling and cost estimation support for proposals).
  • Interface Management (facilitating communication between and among Project-Managers, Discipline Leads, System administrator and Document Controller).
  • Project Updates (weekly progress-collection & updates; schedule updates cost control & management; change order/variation management; cash flow status; subcontractor progress management; weekly upload of project data to Project Controls Database).
  • Project Reporting (issue of RW Internal Weekly project status reports and clients External progress reports.)
    Quality Control (ensuring projects are controlled, monitored and documented according RW Project Services standards / specifications; conduct timely Project Controls audits on project level). 
Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Petroleum/Oil/Gas), Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Civil) or equivalent.
  • At least 3 - 18 year(s) of working experience in project services is required.
  • Preferably Senior Executives specializing in Engineering - Oil/Gas or equivalent.
  • There are also positions for Jr Project control Engineer and Senior Project Control engineer.  Experience for the Senior position will be between 12 - 18 yrs.
Civil/ Structural Engineer
(Kuala Lumpur)
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare designs, sketches and reports with supporting calculations for projects, and supply drafting staff with information to assist in the production of detailed drawings, the development of quantities, materials lists and cost estimates as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical detail for quotations, contract documentation and technical specifications.
  • Liaise with suppliers, clients, consultants or commissioning engineers concerning the design, installation or construction and commissioning of assigned work.
  • Participate in the meetings and planning of projects as required.
Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Engineering (Civil) or equivalent.
  • Degree In Civil Engineering from recognised University with  least five years of experience in onshore works for the hydrocarbons, minerals, metals or power industry.
  • Candidate MUST be registered be BEM.
  • Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
  • Preferably senior executives specializing in Engineering - Oil/Gas or equivalent.
  • Candidate should be willing to work long hours.

SENIOR QUALITY ENGINEER
(Kuala Lumpur)
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
To facilitate the development and effective implementation of Project Quality Management Systems by the Project Team in a manner that meets corporate, location, contractual and ISO9001:2008 requirements.
To manage project quality support functions including quality induction, planning, audits, corrective action, preventive action, non-conformance control,  process improvement, project quality reporting and review.
To lead and execute project risk-based assessment program, prepare assessment reports and facilitate corrective/preventive actions.
Conducting root cause analysis and facilitate corrective/preventive actions.
 

Requirements:

ISO9001:2008 Standard (ISO 29001 will be an added advantage)

Internal Quality Auditing

Quality Management Systems Auditor /Lead Auditor Training Course (IRCA Certified).

Root Cause Analysis Training (Apollo or TapRoot - will be an added advantage)

Risk Management (will be an added advantage)

 

Other Skills:

Minimum five (5) to seven (7) years experience with Quality Management with an established design consultant in oil & gas industry.

Registered with 'Board of Engineers Malaysia' (BEM) or any professional engineering body.

Knowledge in ISO 14000 or OHSAS 18001, will be added advantage.

Must be customer focussed. 
 
Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Others) or equivalent.
  • Required skill(s): internal quality auditing, iso9001:2008, irca certified, apollo, taproot, Risk Management.
  • Required language(s): English
  • At least 10 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
